According to resources so far, it is impossible to get yellow eyes from iron deficiency. Iron deficiency is a nutritious deficiency due to increased iron need of body or decreased iron absorption, resulted in easy fatigue, slow cognitive, difficulty to maintain body temperature, decreased immune function and tongue inflammation. Iron deficiency is the leading cause of anemia. I am suffering from anemia, which makes me feel heart racing, tired and sometimes lightheaded, but I don't have yellow eyes. Yellowish of eyes is due to jaundice caused by bilirubin built up in blood. Bilirubin is produced by breakdown of old red blood cell which should be delivered into intestine by liver. So the yellow eyes are commonly connected with liver problem. If any serious problem with liver, the people will turn yellow gradually, this is very obvious. If you found the white of your eyes is getting the yellowish tinge, go to see a doctor as soon as possible. Don't hesitate. Anemia caused by iron deficiency generally is not a big deal, but serious liver problem could be lethal.

No, iron deficiency can not cause yellow eyes. Iron is vital to our body and if iron deficiency happens, it will cause anemia. When people experience iron deficiency, they will get these symptoms: a desire for strange substance such as paper, ice, or dirt ; koilonychias; pain in the mouth with cracks at the corners. However, yellow eye is caused by chronic red blood cell destruction which can lead to anemia as well. So when you lack iron, you should eat food full of iron to meet your body demand. Poor, duck, sesame seed, spinacia oleracea and so on are good choices.
