I know multifocal contact lenses are suitable for people who wear bifocal or progressive glasses. I want to buy multifocal contact lenses for my uncle. How much do they usually cost ? Are they expensive? Where can i get them?

I can't tell you an accurate answer. Because there are different brands of multifocal contact lenses and they are different in prices. I see that CIBA Vision Air Optix Aqua Multifocal ranges from $42.95 - $64.99 per box, Bausch and Lomb Purevision Multifocal ranges from $33.29 - $36.95 per box and Cooper Vision Proclear Multifocal Toric (XR) Contact Lenses priced $98.95. So, you should first make sure what multifocal contact lenses you want to buy.

Well, they are not so expensive, so you should worry about the price. And their prices vary from $20 to $60. Of course, they can have different prices with different styles. So you can just choose ones which you like. For example, you can buy them on yahoo shopping which is very famous for its products. And also, you have a chance to get the discount. But on the other hand, when you choose to buy them on the online shop, you should be more careful about the products. As we know that today there are many fake ones. So maybe you can just surf the internet or ask the professional person to check for you.

The multifocal contact lenses are made by the principle of bifocal or progressive eyeglasses. They are expensive because of the powerful function. They may be cost at average about $200, not including the big brand ones. However, if your uncle needs this, it is worthy to buy. But in my opinion, it is better for the people above 40 to wear the progressive eyeglasses because their dry eyes are not suitable for the contact lenses. And the contact lenses are usually not safe because they need to keep a good habit of hygiene. And many environments contain a lot of bacterium which may get the eyes get infected. However, it is you who make the decision. If you want to buy, you could go to the ebay or amazon to have a look.

Well, as a matter of fact, multifocal contact lenses are indeed impressive because they are able to help people adjust to things from different distances, thus improve their vision to a very good extent. However, sometimes they could be slightly more expensive since they are harder to be made. You can easily find different types of them at some large stores. Shouldn't be much to pricey.
