  The primary and apparent symptom of pink eye is that your eyes will have a pink appearance. Other symptoms may depend on the type of conjunctivitis you have. Viral conjunctivitis may cause watery, itchy eyes and your eyes are sensitive to light. It is highly contagious. Bacterial conjunctivitis may cause a sticky, yellow or greenish-yellow discharge in the corner of your eyes. It is contagious too. Allergic conjunctivitis will cause watery, burning, itchy eyes, and they are often accompanied by stuffiness and a runny nose. But this one is not contagious.

  Pink eye is a kind of highly contagious disease. I think if you have red, irritated eyes, the first thing you should do is to call your ophthalmologist immediately. They can schedule an eye exam for you. Pink eye can be called conjunctivitis. If the clear covering of the white of the eye or the inside of the eyelids got an inflammation, you may get the pink eye. If you are a current contacts wearer, you suggest you to remove your contacts until your symptoms totally disappear.
