What exactly are Multifocal Contact Lenses?

i plan to buy contact lenses for my uncle and someone told me to try Multifocal Contact Lenses. What are they? What are pros and cons of Multifocal Contact Lenses ?

When people reach mid-40s, they might suffer presbyopia which makes them bad vision on near objects. Many people choose the reading glasses, but the glasses are not comfortable and convenient when they are playing games. So some people choose multifocal contact lenses for correcting of presbyopia. However, multifocal contact lenses also have disadvantage like other contact lenses. You could not wear them for long time because the contact lenses cannot let enough oxygen get though. Our eyes will get problem once the lack of oxygen. So, if your uncle is a sports enthusiast, give him multifocal contact lenses as a gift must make him happy.
