Can pink eye spread from one eye to the other?

I have pink eye in the left and my doctor gave me some eye drops. I've been using the drops in both eyes and I am afraid will it spread to my other eye?

    Yes. As we know that pink eyes are very contagious and they can easily spread to your other eye if you rub one eye then immediately rub the other. But if you pay much attention to it and do a good disinfecting job, the other eye will not get infected.
