Is it true ultraviolet radiation cause blindness?

I heard that too much ultraviolet radiation can cause blindness. Is that true? Why?

    Yes, too much ultraviolet radiation can cause your blindness. Actually the ultraviolet radiation will be so dangerous for the body. It may get the work of eyes be in disorder which may damage your brain parts. Thus it may cause your blindness. You should not avoid such amount of ultraviolet radiation.

    Well, it seems that you are quite curious about this. As far as I know, ultraviolet radiation is one of the most harmful lights we people may suffer. And with long time exposure to ultraviolet radiation, it is true that we are likely to be blind or get some infections or damages. Because our eyes, pupils and cornea is too fragile. Anyway, you should get some sunglasses if necessary to better protect your eyes.

    Yes, too much ultraviolet radiation can cause blindness. Too much ultraviolet radiation contains high intensities of UVB light, which are bad to the eyes. UV light is absorbed by molecules known as chromophores, which are present in the eye cells and tissues. If too much UV light is absorbed, eye structures such as the cornea, can be damaged, thus becoming blindness.
