When can i wear contacts after strabismus surgery?

  I can learn from your description that you have just receive an eye surgery,which I suppose is vital for your eye health. So, I can tell you that you must not wear contact lenses for the time being. Since your eyes need to rest and recover, there would be risk of reinfection if you insist on. Maybe after your final recovery, you may consult the doctor to see whether you can wear contacts.

  You'd better not wear the contact lenses until a month after you get the strabismus surgery. Because the contact lenses make your eyes fee dry, your eyes may easily get infection. Different people own different physique. You'd better wait for the full recovery. You should have a good rest for eyes after the strabismus surgery.

  Well, generally speaking, you can wear contact lenses in about 1 week. As we know that this kind of surgery is to improve your vision. And after the surgery, you should give some time for your eyes to recover. In the first week, you are not supposed to wear contacts because contacts can damage your sensitive eyes and also can lead to some infection. So just be careful about it. By the way, after the surgery, it can also lead to some eye problem, for your eyes are very sensitive and fragile. For example, it can lead to eye strain, if you overuse your eyes to watch TV or computer. So just avoid them in the first 1week.
