Can toothpaste be used to remove scratches from eyeglasses?

  Yeah, using the toothpaste can really remove the oil on the lenses with the cleaning agents. However, about the scratches of the eyeglasses, using tooth paste can not remove it. And using toothpaste itself may intensify the scratches on the lenses. Thus, don't use toothpaste to remove the scratches on the lenses.

  Yes, in certain extense, this kind of saying are right. When your eyeglasses scratches, adopt some toothpaste to rub the surface of scrathing glasses, the scratch will disappear for several minutes. You know it is effect especially when the toothpast are granule scrubs. However, I would like to sugget you not to do like that. The scratches in the eyeglasses are permanency, the polish with toothpaste just a way to cover the flaw. But the polish will change the prescription and effect the function of vision correction. It will damage your eyesight if you use it for a long time.You would better go to store for a new glasses for replacement.

  Yes, it works for that. Because the toothpaste acts as a filler and fill in the gap created by the scratch. Firstly, you could place a small amount of toothpaste at the site of scratches. And you should use a soft and cotton cloth to rub the toothpaste into the scratched area, to continue applying a circular motion for 10 seconds. After that, you rinse away the toothpaste with lukewarm water. You have to repeat this process if the scratch is deep or stubborn. Finally, you need to dry the scratched item with a clean cloth.

  yes,toothpaste can be used to remove minor scratches from an eyeglass lens.
  Rub the toothpaste on the inner and outer surfaces of each lens with a cloth made of cotton, a cloth works particularly well to clean eyeglasses. Lightly rub the cloth using small,circular motions.continue buffing lenses gently for about 10 seconds.
  Rinse off the toothpaste with lukewarm water,and then wipe dry with a soft,clean,lint-free cloth.
  Repeat the process again if you are trying to remove stubborn scratches.eyeglass lenses that have an anti scratch coating may take it more difficult to reach the scratch.
