Do sunglasses in dark tinted color give more UV protection than the light color?

I wonder if sunglass lenses with dark tints are more effective in protecting UV rays than those with light tints.

    Whether the tints are dark or light, they cannot offer UV protection unless you add UV protection to the lenses. However, dark tints will make you feel more comfortable in the bright sunlight.

    No, the UV protection has nothing to do with the tinted color. Dark sunglasses can only offer you a mild view when in bright light but they don't absorb more UV rays.
