Actually there is a blue light blocking coating on the computer lenses and it can soften the screens to some degree. Thus you don’t have to add tint color on them.
If you work in a very bright office, you may benefit from a light tint applied to your computer lenses. This can cut the amount of light that reaches your eyes and provide relief in some cases. But tints and filters don’t address the underlying cause of computer eyestrain.
My eye doctor recommended to do so. He told me that adding a light tint to computer glasses could reduce glare caused by harsh overhead lighting and to enhance contrast. You may ask your eye doctor for more details though.
