Can eye infections heal on their own?

  If you are sure that the infection is not serious, buy some eye drops from the medicamentarius, or take some anti-inflammatory drug to prevent it from more serious. Normally, your eyes will recover after several days rest. While, the best way of treating this problem is to see a doctor for help and take the doctor's suggestion.

  As we all know, eye infections are usually caused by virus, bacteria or microbiological agent,which would cause umcomfortable symptom of eyes, such as swell, tear, inflammation and itch. If your eye infection only lasts for a while and does not cause any sever symptoms , then you can ignore it and it will heal on its own. But if you do feel a long time and continuous uncomfortable eye symptoms, such as eye pain or even vision problems, you'd better visit the doctor and have a check.

  Eye infections refer to infections caused by bacteria, virus or fungi. According to the different part of eyes infected, eye infections include conjunctivitis, iritis, and uveitis and so on. I don’t think it is a good idea to ignore it. We know that eyes are one of the most delicate organism in human body. We need to protect them as careful as possible. Although you might think infections are not serious problem, yet some of them would definitely lead to serious problem. For example, as to conjunctivitis, there are three types of conjunctivitis, bacterial, viral and allergic conjunctivitis. Normally speaking, conjunctivitis can heal soon even no treatment provided. Yet there is a possibility that eyes are infected by herpes, which is a very serious problem and can last for months or even years. Long time infections or inflammations can lead to some worse problem. So I think it is better to visit an eye oculist to find out what's the exactly problem and get proper treatment.
