I've searched on the Internet and the result shows me some of the possible common medical causes of Green eye discharge, and they are: Canaliculitis, conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers or dacryocystitis. I think you are probably suffering from the inflammation caused by infection of bacteria, Anyway, it is a serious condition I think. You need to go to see the doctor and receive treatment immediately. Here is an address of a website named International Specialist Eye Centre and you can type in your symptoms and search some ralted information. Hope it will be useful for you.

Yes, generally speaking, when you have the green eye discharge in your eyes, it can be caused by the eye infection. As we know, no matter you are wearing your contact lenses at the time, it is easy for you to get eye discharge. As eye discharge can be caused by allergies, bacteria, makeup, chemicals or from your contact lenses not fitting correctly. But especially, if you are wearing the contact lenses, it will increase the risk which can lead to the eye discharge. When you have this problem, it might mean the eye infection or other problems with your lenses and it also may indicate that treatment is required. So in your situation, I suggest you should go and see an eye doctor as soon as possible.
