Generally speaking, eating carrots can provide you with vitamin A and efficiently help prevent your eye from nyctalopia. Though recently there is no figure showing that the carotene can improve the vision. It indeed does good to one's eyes. Therefore, we suggest: First, animal oil roasted carrots are with lots of vitamin E. Second, the animals' liver and corn are good for eyes. Last, chrysanthemum tea, cassia tea and selfheal tea can be using to clear liver and improve your vision.

This shows that beta carotene does not harm your eyes, but may have important benefits in preserving your vision. But they aren't the only food which contains this nutrient and there are others that are equally important. And you should follow the doctor's words. Because your doctor can help you determine how much beta carotene you should consume through carrot juice and other foods or supplements each day.
