Does vsp cover prescription sunglasses?

  Most of people know that VSP Vision Insurance plans offers in-network. But still some people don't know that VSP also offer out-of-network. And Out-of-network means that you can get reimbursement from buying glasses, reading glasses or sunglasses from eyewear store like eyeglasses.com. But i heard that Eyeglasses.com does not accept eyewear insurance for payment. So, you need submit your receipt to your insurance company if you want to reimbursement.

  Yes. Vsp cover prescription sunglasses. As we know, VSP Vision Insurance plans offer in-network and out-of-network benefits. In-network benefits means that you must buy glasses from independent doctors who are covered by VSP. While Out-of-network benefits means that you can buy eyeglasses, reading glasses or sunglasses from any optical store and you only need to submit the receipt to VSP for reimbursement.
