How often should you go to the doctor to have your eyes checked and check your current eyeglasses too?

  Eye professionals advise that everyone should go to the doctor to have an eye exam at least every three years.According to the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, how often one should have a complete eye exam.dpends one’s age, eye health and family health history.

  An eye exam is necessary for everyone. I'd like to share some information with you at here. I think they are useful. Usually we should have the first comprehensive eye examination done before the age of 3. People who are at age between 20 and 30 should have an eye exam every two years. As to the people who have vision problems or at older ages, they may need to have an eye exam in every year. for other cases, if the person suddenly suffer from some vision problems such as visual changes, pain, injury, new floaters, tearing occurs, flashes of light, they may need to see an eye doctor immediately.

  I have mild myopia. So I often visit my eye doctor every year. If my eyesight doesn't change, I will not replace my eyeglasses. If I take good care of my eyes, keep a healthy diet, do eye exercise every day, my eyesight won't change within two years. So during those two years, I haven't changed my eyeglasses. When I was a child, I don't take care of eyeglasses, so there were some scratches on the lenses. This could affect my vision. So I had to buy new glasses from optical shops though my eyesight didn't change. But now, I often change my eyeglasses after I get a new prescription.

  I will have my eyes checked annually. But I haven't had my eyeglasses checked yet because they are almost new glasses. There isn't any scratch on it. I suggest you to have your eyes checked annually if you have some vision problems. You can also have your eyeglasses checked if you drop them on the ground by accident or you find there are some scratches on the lenses. Good luck!
