Can wearing glasses really weaken my eyes?

  Actually, wearing glasses will not weaken your eyes. As long as your glasses are properly fitted to you, they will help you experience a new level of visual freedom without damaging your eyes.

  Nearsightedness often results from genetics and doing lots of close work. So it is not the glasses that weaken your eyes. In fact, glasses won't make your eyes either better or worse. They just help you see more clearly. And wearing glasses with correct prescription will prevent your vision from becoming even worse.

  No. If your glasses fit you properly, they won't weaken your eyes. I've worn glasses for many years and now my prescription is still the same as it used to be.
