Generally speaking, Pediatric cataract is congenital while age-related cataract is related to age, nutrition and the outside temperature, ultraviolet rays, and metabolism. However, they can both get cataract surgery if they are suitable for surgery after being checked.

People who get old may probably get age-related cataract which is related to age. Age-related cataract may be caused by some other factors, such as UV rays, nutrition and other diseases. Pediatric cataract ia usually congenital. Some infants are born with cataract. These two kinds of catarct can be both treated by cataract surgery which can improve their vision.
