Will we all have presbyopia after 40?

    I’ve heard so. Presbyopia is the normal loss of near focusing ability that occurs with age. Most people begin to notice the effects of presbyopia sometime after age 40, when they start having trouble seeing small print clearly — including text messages on their phone.

    You can't escape presbyopia, even if you've never had a vision problem before. But I am not so sure about the exact age, maybe 40 is the most common figure.

    You might face presbyopia older than 40 as long as you protect your eyes well. My mom started to wear reading glasses when she was almost 50 and the degree has not raised too much. Thanks to her good habit I think.
