red eye can be caused for many reasons .it appears because the vessels in the surface of the white portion of the eye become enlarged and irritated. The degree of redness of blood usually does not indicate how serious the problems is and not always conneted with bad health .the best way is to have good rest and wait for the eye to reabsorb the blood .but if you feel eye pain or impaired vision ,it is necessary for you to see an Ophthalmologist.
