Where does eye mucus come from?

Can you tell me where does eye mucus come from? Is it bad for eyes? I just want to know it

    Eye mucus is usually found in the corners of the eye and can accumulate in the process of sleep. Eye mucus can be classified in to thick green mucus, yellow mucus, white mucus, watery mucus, stringy mucus and thick crusty mucus. Eye mucus comes from several causes. Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis Allergic conjunctivitis Symptoms of dry eyes Temporary eye mucus is not that serious and could cause little harm to the eye. However, if you have suffered eye mucus for quite a long time, you should consult your eye doctor so as to avoid its latent damage to the eye.

    The eye mucus comes from the tears gland system which is bad for the eyes. Usually it indirectly means the eyes infection. You could use the eyes drops to release the symptom. You could also use the warm compress often to make the eyes feel comfortable. You should not eat the spicy food these days which will intensify the eye mucus.
