Well, this situation depends. You know, there are two types, dry and wet. If you have dry, you may keep your vision in 10 to 30 years. However, if you have wet, the situation may be worse. I heard that it is about three or four years. But I am not sure. Usually, the treatments will not recover any lost vision. But please don' t be too scared, you can still try to stop the progression of the disease. By the way, if the person who suffers from macular degeneration is also a diabetic, he should be more careful. Diabetes is not only a sugar disease but also a blood vessel disease. It will not only do harm to your eyes, but also do harm to your other parts of body. However, if you follow your doctor's advice, I think your situation can be controlled. Best wishes to you!!

Macular degeneration is a chronic disease, it can cause a sharp decline in the central visual acuity, and central vision is required for daily activities. In general, if you do not take any measures of treatment of macular disease, it will go blind in two years. We should see a doctor as soon as possible.
