Can you get pink eye from wearing contacts too long?

  Yes, of course. The contact lenses have its expiration periods, if you wear it too long, the function of sterilization will disappear, and the anti-virus function will go out. The contacts will be easy to get pollution from the outside environment, pink eyes will be happen. Pink eye is the common name of the disease infectious conjunctivitis. Actually, it's easy to get but still have way to protect. Good health habit would prevent the bacteria or viruses pass through hands to eyes.   Wearing contact lenses can makes you feel much better than glasses. But there are some risks associated with the use of contact lenses as follows: 1. Use contact lenses can easily get corneal ulcers for those people who wearing contact lenses overnight, and it can makes your eyes feel burning and itching. 2. According to science research, wearing contact lenses also can cause eye infection, such as herpes, bacteria and microbes. 3. Incorrect ways of wearing contact lenses also can cause pink eyes. So, please do not keep contact lenses in for a long period of time if your eyes are not used to it, chose the brand contact lenses and wearing it in the correct way to avoid the risks associated with the use of contact lenses.

  Well, yes indeed, sometimes, and some people will get pink eyes if they wear contact lenses. This is basically due to some possible reasons. For example, since there will be some eye discharge and external bacteria exposed to your eyes and you haven't cleaned and kept your contacts on a regular basis. Also, some people are originally not supposed to wear contacts, and sometimes if you wear them for much too long in a day, both could lead to pink eyes. Just avoid doing these, and maybe you are good to go.
