Yes, if you protect the eyes carefully after the retinal detachment surgery, you will get the right vision. After the retinal detachment surgery, you'd better not use the eyes a long time before the computers. You should eat more food with vitamin A and C to moisture the eyes. You should not smoke, drink or eat the spicy food.

Well, it is hard to say that after the surgery, your vision can be restored. There is no guarantee about that. It all depends on the situation. For example, if the macula, which is the part of the retina responsible for central vision, is detached, the outcome can be uncertain. Anyway, many factors come into play including how long the retina and macula have been detached. But on the other hand, your vision can be ok, if your situation is good. So it is important for you to be careful after the surgery, for your eyes are sensitive and fragile. For example, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night and with naps until you are advised by your doctor. Also, you should remember not sleep on the side of the operated eye for the first night. And do not take a flight after the surgery.

If you can take a retinal detachment surgery in time after retinal detachment occurs, the macula lutea detachment will restore within five days and vision can be restored to the level before you get retinal detachment. If the retinal detachment lasts for a long time, thus even if the surgery succeed, the vision function can be damaged everlastingly. The shorter time the retinal detachment lasts, the better the vision will restore. The longer time the retinal detachment lasts, the more complicate the case becomes, and shrinkage and change of the retina will become irreversible, thus the retinal detachment surgery will have little effect. If the retinal detachment lasts for above one year, even if the surgery succeeds, vision cannot be restored. So I advise you to take the retinal detachment surgery as early as possible and wish you recover soon.
