The name brand of glasses are so expensive because they have high grade metals, die cut high grade synthetic materials, premium quality hinges, and superior hand craftmanship.The glasses in local opticians and retailers are expensive because they are limited to their geographic market.

This is quite a good question. So, I used to be puzzled over the problem, and later on I realized that some designer sunglasses, such as Ray Ban, Gucci, Armina, are very expensive though we know their cost is that not bleeding. But you should know that brand value is pretty high, with their amazing design and good materials, and their publicity works. All factors made their prices so high, but they are worth it.

I think maybe the reason lies in its brand and advertising fees. Nowadays there are many products that will charge high. Maybe the quality of these products is quite excellent. But I think if we don't have enough money to buy these products, we can choose products made by other companies. They are also very good.

Dude, you can think about this, if the product takes you 3 months to finish it and you are a good worker with rich experience in this field, how much money you will get if you sell the product. Compared with this, if you ask a person who know nothing about glasses to make a pair of glasses for you, how much will you pay him? Maybe this can be the reason why designer sunglasses are so expensive. No pains no gains. And this works for all fields in our society. And sometimes brainwork also account for a part of the total cost.

If you think you can take pleasure from the products, then I think it is worth that much. I think the quality, brand name as well as style play a very important part in the price setting. And usually luxuries are very expensive. And the dealers make great profit from them. Maybe sometimes the products are made by the same factory and they will charge you more. I don't know why too.
