Generally speaking, you are not supposed to take airplane after prk surgery. As we know that if you take airplane after surgery, it will make your eyes become worse. When you are in the plane, your eyes have to face some problems because of the gravity. And that will lead to eye strain. And in some cases, it can be dangerous. So you should follow the things the doctor has told you. Besides, For example, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night and with naps until you are advised by your doctor. Also, you should remember not sleep on the side of the operated eye for the first night.

Yes. You can fly after PRK surgery. I read online where i can't remember. It is said that high altitude has no effect on the vision or the healing of the eye after PRK. And people can actually take plane the next day after the surgery if you really need to go. Nevertheless, you shall take some eye drops when you fly because the air blowing from the vents above you may make you feel eye dry.

It is OK to take a plane after pky surgery. But you would better wear a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the irritation of sunlight. Besides, the first month after pky surgery is the pivotal recovery period in that you should pay more attention to protect your eyes. You must wear a pair of sunglasses when you go out ion sunny days. You should be away from any spicy or rich foods and using computer or watching TV is not allowed. Not to read book for a long time. What more, use eye drops according to your doctor's orders.

It is not safe for you to fly after the prk surgery. Especially the taking off and leading process from the plane may cause the sudden increase of your eye pressure which may indirectly affect your vision. You'd better not fly and have a good rest for the eyes during this time.
