Yes, it will do a good job to the cataract. According to a study, supplementing with lutein improves visual function in cataract sufferers and may slow the progression of the cataracts. Cataracts are among the most common causes of visual impairment in the elderly. They are caused by progressive degeneration of the proteins that make up the lens of the eye, which eventually results in clouding of the lens. The cause of age-related cataracts is unknown. Besides, Lutein is a pigment that you can find in many foods. Your body cannot produce it, so a certain dietary intake or daily supplement will be a good way to protect your eyes, especially for some people who have the eyes floaters. The reason is that the macula, an area of tissue on the back of your eye, contains lutein deposits, and the presence of lutein, along with its antioxidant properties, promote eye health.

Yes, it is true. The lutein can really help cataracts. Lutein is a necessary material to eyes, which could not lack for the body. When the lutein is missing, it will cause many eye diseases. For cataract patients with fundus diseases, the only cure treatment is through the cataract surgery. But if you added lutein in preoperative or postoperative time, you can strengthen the immunity of the eyes. In common time, the use of lutein may make your eyes get moisture.

Yes, it could help slow or prevent cataracts. Cataracts are a type of eye disorders that cause progressive vision changes. Nutrition would help slow or prevent cataracts, such as lutein, to help protect cataract growth. Due to lutein is an antioxidant nutrient to reduce the breakdown of the proteins in the natural lens. And it is found with another nutrient that is called zeaxanthin. You can find these nutrients in spinach, green peas, corn and other food. However, you should not start a supplement or increase intake lutein without consulting eye doctor whether it is suitable for your case.
