I never heard that. But it sounds reasonable from other point. As we know, the skin around our eyes is very tender and easy to get hurt. By wearing sunglasses, they not only shield the eyes from strong sunshine and intensive UV rays, but also protect the skin around eyes from UV rays which can lead lines and wrinkles. From this point, wearing sunglasses can prevent wrinkles.

Yes, it has that effect. Wrinkles can be inevitable due to the natural aging process. However, you can prevent having more around your eyes by wearing sunglasses. Because of the sunlight will make you squint and this will cause excessive eye wrinkles over time. You had better put your sunglasses on when you go outdoors, even on cloudy days.

Of course it works. A study found that aged skin that hadn't been exposed to the sun had about 3,800 genetic mutations, while skin that had been exposed to the sun had around 10,000 mutations in the same genes! As we all know, genetic mutation causes lines and wrinkles, especially in the position of the eyes. So, just take your sunglasses with you.

We know that sun damage causes lines and wrinkles, but they're also caused by facial expressions (think of smiling as the cause of crow's feet around the eyes). So whenever you're outdoors, daylight causes unnecessary squinting and will accelerate the wrinkling process around the eyes. Always wear sunglasses when outdoors and choose ones with larger frames to cover a larger portion of the eye area. Also, don't put off getting your eyes checked, as squinting from blurry vision will most definitely accelerate wrinkles around the eyes.
