  Yes, compared regular sunglasses, polarized sunglasses are more protective. In details, wearing polarized sunglasses can reduce strong sunshine and prevent UV rays from into your eyes. Besides, they can also filter glares from water surface and other metal materials that regular sunglasses can't. From this point, polarized sunglasses are better than regular sunglasses.

  The reason that polarized sunglasses are more expensive than regular sunglasses is the polarized lenses. polarized sunglasses are shades with polarized lenses. These polarized lenses block reflected light and offer better eye protection against strong rays. By blocking reflected light, polarized sunglasses make your vision sharp. For example, polarized sunglasses can flight out the reflected light from the surface of road or water. They are quite popular among drivers and fish men. Because of their features, I think they are worth your money.
