I just wonder how monovision contact lenses work as they are made completely different for each eye?

Monovision contact lenses are designed for patients who suffer from presbyopia. Presbyopia often occurs to people over 40 years old. And people with presbyopia have difficult to see things nearby. If you also have problems of focus to far, monovision contact lenses are good choices. With it, one lens will help you see near subjects, while the other lenses aid you see things far away.

Monovision contact lenses are designed for people with presbyopia. Usually we will wear one lens for distant vision on the dominant eye and the other lens for near vision on the non-dominant eye. When you look far away, the dominant eye takes over the non dominant eye and the brain usually get visual information from the dominant eye, so the distant vision will not be affected by the non dominabt eye with near vision correction too much. However, it usually take people a week or 2 to get used to monovision contact lenses.
