rimless glasses are more delicate than other rimmed glasses, so the material of rimless glasses should be very strong. Now rimless glasses are very popular with many people because these glasses are lightweight and comfortable to wear. They can also provide wider vision for wearers due to the rimless design. To make rimless glasses last longer, the best material for the lenses is polycarbonate which is lighter and impact resistant, thus polycarbonate lenses are the best lenses for rimless glasses.

As a result of that, if you are a myopia of 500 degrees, then you can choose the 1.56 ultra-thin aspheric lenses. Myopia of more than 500, then you can choose the 1.60 ultra-thin aspherical lens.

Polycarbonate lenses is your best choice,because they are is commonly used in sports goggles. The lenses are very durable. It is said that they are to times durable than plastic lenses. Besides, they are light weight and can prevent UV rays. Anyway, you shall consult your eye doctor if the lenses are suitable for you.

Considering the different design of rimless glasses that there is no frame to hold and protect the lenses, the lenses for rimless glasses shall be durable and sturdy, or it may be easy broken in daily life. From this point, polycarbonate lenses are recommended. They are 10 times durable compared common plastic eyeglasses. However, you shall know that you are not recommended to wear rimless glasses if you have very heavy prescription.
