When should I not wear polarized sunglasses?

Someone told me that polarized sunglasses are not good for all situations, so when should I not use polarized sunglasses?

    Polarized lenses are very popular right because they can dramatically reduce glare from smooth surfaces and block UV rays from sunshine. Nevertheless, there are still some people raise that not wearing polarized lenses during downhill skiing is a safe practice. The believe that the using of polarized lenses may reduce skier's ability to distinguish between regular snow and more dangerous conditions such as icy patches or moguls since the lenses can reduce glares that caused by the sunshine reflecting from the snow.
