Can clear lens glasses offer 100% UV protection?

I want to wear my clear lens glasses when outside, but I wonder if it can give 100% UV protection just like the sunglasses do?

    If the lens is polycarbonate, it can offer 100% UV protection. If it is plastic or glass, it can only block a small percentage of UV rays. You have to get UV protection coating if you need 100% UV protection.

    That depends on the material of the lens. The regular clear plastic lens won't offer 100% UV protection. If you want to wear them outside, you can add UV protection coating to the lenses.
