Ok, I hope you are all sitting down. My prescription is -14.75. I'm 44, I still wear contacts (although they keep getting discontinued & I have to switch brands a lot) and my glasses don't look like Mr. Magoo. They have great options that thins the lens so they don't look geeky. I'm not a candidate for any kind of surgery bc my cornea is too steep. But the good news is that I CAN see with my corrective lens and that's what counts.

If you have a good habit of using eyes and keep a strong body,I think the worst prescription should be no more than -8.5.Ask your doctor for more suggestion to prevent your eyes from getting worse.

It depends on your age. If you are below 16, your eyes would continue to get worse until you are legally blind. If you are beyond 16, your eyes would keep a balanced prescription or change a little in your prescription. Prevent your eyes from getting worse by keeping a healthy diet, doing exercise, keeping good habit of using eyes, being aware of eye health.

People's eyesight will get stable at a certain level when they get over 19. When they are under 19, their eyesight may slightly change every year. The worst prescription is when they get legally blind.

It is hard to say.If you are still young (under 20),your eyes prescription can still keep changing and finally stabilize at a certain level, and the worse prescription will depend on your eyes condition.

Regarding to your question, theoretically, it is possible for your eye prescription to increase, if you pay no attention to your eye using habit. Or your eye prescription will get stable, only if you develop a good habit to using your eyes, such as having a rest after 45-minute working or staring far away oftentimes to relax your eyes. Moreover, you also can eat more vegetables such as carrots which are good for your eyes.
