Different antioxidants have their additional, respective benefits. Vitamin A also fights against night blindness, while vitamin C also plays roles in dry eye relief and macular damage prevention.

  There is no special supplement for cataracts prevention, keeping your eyes healthy is enough to prevent all kinds of eye disease. A healthy diet including plenty of green, leafy vegetables, fish, some nuts and yellow and orange fruits is good for your eye health. Also you should avoid some negative foods."Bad carbs" such as refined flour may increase the rate of macular degeneration and high glycemic index carbohydrates may harm eye health.

  Vitamin C can prevent the formation of cataracts on the lens and vitamin C and E are proved to slow down the progression of age-related macular degeneration. Sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, berries, peppers, tropical fruits, potatoes and green vegetables.

  Some supplements can help prevent cataract. Antioxidants such as lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamins E and C may help you prevent cataracts. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can also work effectively to prevent cataract, especially fruits and vegetables with vibrant colors.
