How to protect my eyes when swimming?

I love to swim in summer, but I am afraid that my eyes may get infected. What can I do to protect my eyes?

    To protect your eyes, you mustn't wear contacts while swimming. If you don't have swimming goggles, you should close your eyes when you are under the water in case the water get into your eyes and cause eye infection. I think you'd better buy a pair of swimming goggles to protect your eyes when you go swimming.

    You should choose the swimming pool with clean water and less pollution. Use some antibiotic eye drops before and after swimming. It is better to get a pair of swimming goggles to protect your eyes.
