Can two brown eyed parents have a green eyed baby?

Is the color of eyes hereditary? Is it possible for two brown eyed parents have a green eyed baby?

    No, the color of eyes is hereditary which should follow the color of either one of the parents. It is genetic endowment. If your parents both get the brown eyes, you must get the brown eyes too. If you want to own the green eyes, you could use to wear the green contact lenses to make it look charming and attractive.

    Well, actually, you are kind of right, at least in a sense. As far as I know, the color of eyes is hereditary because of the art of genes. However, it doesn't mean that the kid is bound to have the same color with his parents, because sometimes the genes will be hidden and show no impact on your kid. But, generally speaking, it is highly possible that your kid will have brown eyes.

    No, the color of eyes depends on the combination of parents' genes. According to the biological theory, Brown gene is dominance gene while the blue or light color gene is recessive. A brown eyed person may carry two brown genes, under such circumstance, his baby can only have brown eyes. However, if a brown eyed person carries a brown gene and a blue gene and his spouse is also with a brown gene and a blue gene, then they are likely to have a baby with green eyes.
