Usually the basic recovery from the strabismus surgery will be a month. You should do the eyes protection to get rid of the side effects after the surgery. You should have the good rest for the eyes. You should not use the computer for a long time. You should not drink or smoke either. In addition, you should do the regular eyes exam to see whether your eyes get the full recovery.

Well, generally speaking, it will just take about 3 months to be healed. And first, you should know that strabismus surgery is related to the alteration of the length of eye muscles, so the eyes are in alignment. If you have this surgery, it will shorten one or more of these muscles to reline the eyeball. And for strabismus surgery, the main risks are under correction and overcorrection. Also, there are very small risks of infection, bleeding and excessive scarring. So after the after surgery, eyes are very sensitive and fragile, you should take some measures to avoid the infection. For example, you should avoid eye injuries by wearing a protective shield at night.
