For me, it is better not to drink any alcohol after corneal transplant. Corneal transplant is said to be the most common transplant surgeries nowadays. Yet there still are risks which need attention. After surgery, people should take good care of the eyes all the time, and avoid any strong light, bending, weight lifting or straining. Don't close eyes tightly. Don't do any weight lifting heavier than 15 pounds it within 6-8 weeks after the surgery. Don't rub your eyes. If you are a smoker, quit it after surgery. Drinking alcohol always makes eyes full of bloodshot, which is very bad for the recovery of eyes. I suggest you not to do so. Take medicines and eye drops on time prescript by your doctor to speed up your recovery and avoid infection and rejection. Hope you could get well soon.
