Eye infection refers to the inflammation of tissues of a body part caused by pathogen such as bacteria, virus, germs, fungus and parasites, etc invading ocular region. When the infection is serious, it could cause a fever and make you feel uncomfortable all over the body, and it can result in lessening resistance of organism to diseases, thereby giving rise to complicating disease. You should control the focus of infection, routine blood examination can help select what effective antibiotics you should take. Yes, first you should know that eye infection can lead to fever. As we know that eye infection can be caused by bacteria, viruses or environmental agents, such as pollens and other irritants. So in many cases, people get eye infection when they are with irritants. And there are many symptoms which can occur when eye infection happens, such as burning feelings, discharge from eyes, eye pains, itchy eyes, red eyes, and sore eyes. And generally speaking, eye infections can be a serious condition that should be evaluated immediately in an emergency setting. But on the other hand, it can also lead to some life-threatening diseases. Such as the high fevers. So if you have high fever, you should pay more attention to your eyes, just go and see a doctor as soon as possible. Or it can be dangerous.
