Generally speaking, wearing contact lenses will not cause retinal detachment. And you should know that there are many other factors which can lead to retinal detachment, such as eye injury, severe high blood pressure. But on the other hand, most people with detached retina risk factors will not develop a detached retina. So you should not worry about it too much. And it is possible that people without risk factors will develop a retinal detachment. If you have some questions about retinal detachments, you can talk with your doctor. He or she can recommend detached retina symptoms to watch for and a schedule for regular eye exams. And if you have high myopia,it may be dangerous to have some eye diseases. So you should just may more attention to it.

Yeah, the retinal detachment often happens among the people with high prescription because of the thick corneal. Just wearing the contact lenses in the normal requirement will not cause the retinal detachment.Although wearing the contact lenses may let your eyes get dry, it will not cause the retinal detachment which could be happened because of the big knock on the head or the eyes part. Nope, there is no any evidence that proof contact lenses would cause retinal detachment. The retina is the lining at the back of the eye. The retina has two layers which are attached to each other. A retinal detachment occurs when the two layers become separated in one or more areas. This is an emergency condition which can result in loss of sight from the affected eye. However, contact lenses are only a kind of vision tool to assist you to have a clear vision. They are inserted on surface of your eyeball, in other words, they are placing in front of your eye, which could not have any chance to touch your retina. But contact lenses could make eye irritation or infection if you do not use them proprely and cause more serious conditions in some speical occaisions. In general, contact lenses cannot cause retinal detachment.
