There's a gland named meibomian in our eyelids, its function is to secrete boogers. The boogers are the thing that used to protect the erosion of tears to the eyes skin and the evaporation of tears which leads to dry eyes. The normal eyes have little boogers. But some people have too much and it even make the eyelids hard to open. The reason is the inflammation which has leaded by virus infection. The inflammation stimulates the meibomian to increase the secretion of lipids, then it mixed with dust and tears, the boogers will increase. That means, the too much boogers are the signal of eyelid conjunctivitis. You may need some eye drops for help in urgent, then go to a doctor to have thorough examination.

Because of the large amount of dust coming into the eyes or the tears in the daytime, the oil liquid in the eyes may connect with them at night and then cause the eye boogers at morning. If you get too much eye boogers, you must be exuberant in irascibility. You should drink more water and eat vitamin A to make the eyes moisture. In addition, you can use the eyedrops to relieve this symptom.

That crust is a type of rheum, a thin mucus naturally discharged from our eyes, noses and mouths. Rheum is made up of mucus, skin cells, oils and dust. The rheum that comes from the eyes and forms eye boogers is called gound, which you may know as eye sand, eye gunk, sleep dust, sleep sand, sleep in your eyes, or eye shnooters. When you're awake, gound doesn't cause any problems. You don't even know it's there because it gets cleaned away whenever you blink. Your eyelids regularly corral it down to your tear ducts, where it's washed away. When you sleep, though, you're not blinking, and gound is allowed to build up in the corners of your eyes. It dries out and hardens, leaving you looking like you face planted in a sandcastle sometime during the night. Gound isn't a big deal for most people, but an unlucky few have a major problem with it. A number of conditions, from overactive oil glands to blocked tear ducts, can lead to obscene amounts of gound buildup, sometimes to the point where it prevents people from opening their eyes.

Unfortunately, we could only reduce the amount of eye boogers instead of prevent them. Because of eye booger is a kind of eye mucus, which is a natural and common symptom for excreting useless materials and dust from our eyes. You would have more eye boogers when you use eyes for prolonged period, inadequate sleep or don't take care of eyes. It's a sign of causing other serious eye disorders. Hence, you should take regular rest after utilizing eyes for a certain period, clean your eyes daily and take enough sleep.

As we know that eye boogers are just a kind of object which occurs when you wake up the next morning. When we sleep, we close our eyes. So the dust and many other dirty things will be not be poured out by the tear. Then the dirty thing will be solid like eye boogers outside the eyes. To clean your eye boogers, you can wash them with a wash cloth and have some eye drops which can relieve your case. But if your situation is serious, you'd better go and see a doctor first.
