I think if you really feel your eyes extremely dry, you should see a doctor and make sure whether you suffer from dry eye. Persistent dryness, scratchiness and a burning sensation in your eyes are symptoms of dry eyes. These symptoms alone may prompt your eye doctor to diagnose dry eye syndrome. You can drop artificial tears, which are lubricating eye drops that may alleviate the dry, scratchy feeling. If you wear contact lenses, be aware that many eye drops, especially artificial tears, cannot be used while your contacts are in your eyes. You'll need to remove them before using drops and wait 15 minutes or even longer (check the label) before reinserting the lenses. Indoors, an air cleaner can filter out dust and other particles from the air, while a humidifier adds moisture to air that's too dry because of air conditioning or heating. Outdoors , a pair of glasses in necessary.

Dry eye relief is possible in most cases. The treatment recommended will depend on how bothersome the dry eyes are. A humidifier puts more moisture into the air, with more moisture in the air, tears evaporate more slowly, keeping the eyes more comfortable. Artificial tears used four-to-six times a day can help provide more moisture and lubrication for the surface of the eye, so they can also relieve symptoms. You should know that large amounts of dust or other particulate matter in the air may worsen the symptoms of dry eye, then an air filter may be helpful. What's more, taking breaks from the computer, ceasing smoking, and drinking adequate fluids may all help maintain better eye moisture.

From your description, I think you know what the main cause of your dry eyes is, right? Long-time focusing on the computer screen. Perhaps you can go to the hospital, the oculist may prescribe artificial tears, which are lubricating eye drops that can alleviate the dryness. Also they will help your body to produce more tears by reducing the inflammation related to dry eye syndrome.By the way ,if you wear contact lens, you need to remove them before using drops and wait 15 minutes or more before reinserting the lens. Another way is to put a tiny insert filled with a lubricating ingredient, inside the lower eyelid, where it continuously releases lubrication for the eyes all day long.

According to what you said, your dry eyes may be caused by facing computer for a long time. In this case, you should give your eyes a rest every once in a while and ask the doctor for some eye drops. It may be effective. However, if it is serious, dry eye treatment may be the following ways: artificial tears, eye ointment, lacriserts or surgery. An eye ointment might provide more relief for dry eyes and moisturize the eye for several hours. And there are some suggestion for relieving dry eyes: blink several times a minute while reading or working on the computer; protect your eyes from dust, bright light and radiation; try to avoid smoking or staying in smoky rooms.

Wink more frequently. Pay attention to your eye health. Have more fresh vegetables and fruits. Bean products, milk, fish, walnuts and tomato are rich in vitamin A, vegetables with green leaves are rich in vitamin B1, and walnuts and peanuts in vitamin E. If you have some kind of refraction errors, do no wear contacts. Don't use the air-conditioner as possible as you can, because of the low air humidity.
