Can eye contact make you infected with pinkeye?

I know pinkeye is contagious, but can I also get infected by eye contact?

    Actually, you can't get pink eye by eye contact. However, you should try to keep away from those people who have got pink eye.

    Pink eye is often spreaded by sharing basins or towels with other people. Hand contact directly can also make you get pink eye. So you can't get infected by eye contact.
