Carrots really have something to do with night blindness because they contain beta-carotene, which can be converted into vitamin A. Vitamin A , also called retinol, is key in fighting against night blindness.

Many opticians state that the lack of Vitamin A which is mainly contained in carrots can lead to night blindness. So carrots are often credited with improving night vision.
