Is it necessary to wear sunglasses over the contact lenses?

I am new to wear contacts and my doctor suggested me to wear sunglasses under the sun or driving two wheelers vehicle.Is it necessary?

    It is OK to do so. Wearing sunglasses over the contact lenses add double protection to your eyes, they are much safer from the UV rays, and less likely to be injured.

    As long as your sunglasses have no prescription, it is ok to wear asunglasses over the contact lenses while in the sun or driving.This way can not only protect you from UV rays and glare but also help you see clearly.What's more, it's very convenient to take the sunglasses off when you do indoors.
