How long can you continuously wear contact lenses safely?

  If you want to protect your eyes from infections and other eye diseases, it is recommended not to wear contact lenses more than 6-8 hours a day, and never wear contact lenses to sleep at night otherwise your eyes will be lack of oxygen.

  It depends on the type of contact lenses.Some kinds of contacts can be worn all day while other types of contacts can be worn several hours a day.Some special types of contacts can be worn even when you sleep. While most of the contacts should be taken off before you go to sleep.So you'd better ask your doctor for advice.

  It is not suggested to wear contacts for more than 8 hours per day even though it is day and night contacts.One week is too long and your eyes may not get enough oxygen.

  Different types of contacts come with different approved time for wearing. The longest extended wear lens (lens you can wear for day and night) on the market is for one month.
