For many years, people with astigmatism can wear hard contact lenses to correct astigmatism. People with astigmatism can wear soft contacts which give them more comfort, more flexibility, and more convenience. As for people with both astigmatism and presbyopia, monovision is used to correct both astigmatism and presbyopia by prescribing contact lenses with a modified prescription, hence one eye can view distant objects,and the other eye can view near objects.
