There are some macular degeneration prevention diets. It is said that nutrition can help prevent macular degeneration. You can eat the foods that are rich in antioxidant vitamins and zinc to help slow the progression macular degeneration. You can eat more fruits such as guava, grapefruit and grapefruit juice, oranges and orange juice, pineapple, strawberries, etc. But I will not suggest you to try the supplements that are said to prevent macular degeneration for not everyone are candidates for these supplements.

Choose a healthy diet that's full of a variety of fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. These foods contain antioxidant vitamins that may reduce your risk of developing dry macular degeneration. Eating kale, spinach, broccoli, peas and other vegetables, which have high levels of antioxidants, including lutein and zeaxanthin, may also reduce the risk of macular degeneration.
