After the LASIK surgery, you should relax your eyes by lying down and closing your eyes. For the first 24 hours, you should avoid watching TV, reading or sitting in front of the computer. You cannot rub your eyes no matter how itchy and burning your eyes are. Keep wearing protective eyewear for the first seven nights after the surgery. Sunglasses are necessary when you are exposed to sunlight and rain. In the first 24 hours, you should take baths instead of showers. In the first week, avoid water to spray into your face and do not stay in smoky and dusty environment. You cannot drink alcohol for 48 hours after the surgery.

If you take a lasik eye surgery, your eyes will outflow tears and feel something in the eye because during this period the eye will recover, and then the next day your eyesight will be recovered by 80 to 90 percent, and you can as usual proceed your daily study or work. But remember that in the following two months you should not do any intense sports. Of course it is much more desirable to take a period of rest after the surgery to allow the eyes to adjust themselves for some time. Your eye sight may fluctuate a bit in the following three months after the surgery which is normal. After the lasik eye surgery, you should take good care of your eyes and give them adequate time for rest, and as well pay attention to eye hygiene. Do not read books, watch TV, or use computer too much.

Most patients will already notice much improved vision without glasses immediately after the procedure. However, the most dramatic improvement is noticed after resting the eye overnight. Most patients will see well enough to drive without glasses the second day after the procedure. Thereafter, a gradual improvement in vision is expected as further healing occurs over the next few weeks. Vision is usually stable in a month's time. Some patients may have trouble with glare and seeing haloes during the first few weeks. Those with naturally big pupils or with correction done for high myopia are more likely to be affected. In most cases, these complaints will lessen or go away after six months.
