Can stress cause macular pucker?

  Macular pucker is a tiny oval area made up of millions of nerve cells at the center of the retina. The causes of macular pucker are various, including vitreous shrinking (mostly caused by aging), trauma (caused by surgery or an eye injury), inflammation and so on. While, there is no evidence show that stress can cause macular pucker. But, it's been reported that stress can make macular pucker become worse.

  As far as i know, the macula is a tiny oval area lated in the center of the retina. And the macula is responsible for sharp, central vision. And the so called macular pucker usually means that there is a scar tissue on the retina. And macular pucker can be caused by aging, trauma, surgery and injury, retinal detachment and infection etc. And i never found any proves that stress can lead to macular pucker.

  Well, in my opinion, stress can cause macular pucker. And macular pucker can be very normal for many people, and it is a tiny oval area made up of millions of nerve cells at the center of the retina. For the causes, you need know that aging can be the most common ones. And also, trauma which is caused by surgery or an eye injury can lead to this kind of problem too. By the way, according to some researches, stress can make macular pucker become worse, so you need to have more rest, when you get macular pucker, or it will be dangerous to your eyes.
